Students of the ICT International Doctoral School students can enjoy the following benefits and services:
Scholarship
The majority of the PhD positions are covered by scholarships. Currently the gross amount is 1.607,48€ per year. The scholarship net amount varies, depending on the country of residence and on country-specific taxation agreements, but typically ranges from 12.000 to 13.500€ per year.
Support for housing expenses
Students that are not residents of Trento and have a valid housing contract receive additional support from the University and the Province of Trento which currently amounts to approx 200€ per month. Additional information can be found here.
Tuition fees and waivers
Students who win a PhD scholarship will have the tuition fees (15000€ over three years) waived.
Students without scholarship will have to pay the fees unless they qualify for one of the fee-waiving conditions mentioned in the call for applications, or unless the institution in which they conduct research agrees to sponsor the fees for them.
1st year accommodation
1st year students have the priority for getting accommodation at student residences. The cost of housing is available here.
Health insurance (for non-EU students)
Health insurance for the first 3 years is provided for non-EU students.

The students not older than 28 years can have reduced fares for local transportation, provided by Trentino Trasporti.
