Accommodation (first year only)

“Free circulation” – annual pass for in-town and out-of-town public transport
Students who are are regularly enrolled on a PhD programme can buy the free circulation annual bus pass (public transport within Trento province) at the reduced cost of € 50. Additional information can be found here
The University of Trento allocates doctoral students € 130/month as a contribution to lodging expenses. Additional information can be found here.
Reimbursment for National Health Insurance registration up to € 149,77 from the 1st January of the first year to the 31st October of the third year.

Each student is provided with a budget for research activity amounting € 2800,00 wich can be used only for educational and research purposes:
- short trips such as for conferences, summer/winter school
- support to research activities such as translations, draft revisions
- purchase or use of research equipment
- registration to scientific associations
The amount is available until the 31st October of the 3rd year.

Scholarship increase for periods abroad
Students who have been awarded a PhD scholarship are entitled to get a 50% increase of their scholarship when staying abroad for reasons related to their doctoral research and studies.

Academic writing tutoring service for doctoral students.
The service is available to doctoral students who have followed or are following an English course for doctoral students. To book an appointment go to Doctoral students - Tutoring for academic writing at https://didatticaonline.unitn.it/postlaurea/.
Appointments are for 20 minutes. Those who need more time can book two successive appointments. Each student can utilize a maximum of two tutoring hours annually (six appointments). Appointments can be booked up to 24 hours prior to the time of the appointment. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the appointment, in order to allow the appointment time to be used by another student. Late cancellations will be counted as a used appointment time.
